Day 1: LJ airport – BLED
Arrival at Ljubljana airport, pick up of rent a car and transfer to the hotel in Bled. Overnight at the hotel in Bled.
Day 2: BLED – BOHINJ – BLED
Departure for Lake Bohinj, the largest lake in Slovenia, time to enjoy the nature that surrounds.
Return to Lake Bled and visit the castle-museum located on top of a hill from where you can have a beautiful view of the lake and the small island, where the 17th century Church of the Assumption is located.
Optional a ride on a pletna boat (traditional raft) on Lake Bled and visit of the church on the island (optional). Free time in Bled. Overnight at the hotel in Bled.
Day 3: BLED – CELJE – ZALEC – MARIBOR
After breakfast departure to Celje. Walk through Celje, the third largest city in Slovenia by size. Visit of the Celje Regional Museum or Celje Castle (optional) Later, departure towards Maribor and in the afternoon a walk through the historic center of Maribor, also in the Lent area to admire “the oldest vineyard in the world” from the s. XV that each year produces around 60 liters of wine. Accommodation at the hotel in the center.
Day 4: MARIBOR – PTUJ – JERUZALEM – MARIBOR
After breakfast, visit of Maribor and departure to Ptuj, the oldest city in Slovenia where you will visit its castle-museum. Later continue along the picturesque wine route in Jeruzalem and a wine tasting of delicious white wines from the region in a typical winery. Return to Maribor. Accommodation in Maribor.
Day 5: MARIBOR – LOGARSKA VALLEY – LJUBLJANA
In the morning, visit the most beautiful valley in Slovenia, the famous Logarska valley, surrounded by its high mountains, ideal for hiking. Walk to the Rinka waterfall and free time to enjoy the unique landscapes. Continue to Ljubljana with a short stop in the medieval town of Kamnik on the way to Ljubljana. Hotel accommodation in Ljubljana.
Day 6: LJUBLJANA – visit of the Slovenian capital
In the morning visit of Ljubljana. Panoramic tour of the capital of Slovenia, Ljubljana, the cultural, political and economic center of the country. At the top of the hill, next to the Ljubljanica river, stands its medieval castle. The city has beautiful and interesting buildings, churches, art galleries and museums Free afternoon to enjoy this city and discover its beautiful atmosphere around the Ljubljanica river. Day 7: LJUBLJANA – PREDJAMA CASTLE – POSTOJNA CAVES – PIRAN - LJUBLJANA
In the morning departure to POSTOJNA caves. Visit of cave by electric train to see formations of multiform and colored stalactites and stalagmites. Continuation to Predjama castle to visit its enigmatic castle and learn the story of its legendary hero. In the afternoon continue the trip to Piran, a panoramic walking tour through the old town center. Piran is today the pearl of the area, a jewel of Venetian architecture. Its name derives from the Greek “pyr” (fire) in reference to the bonfire of the old lighthouse that existed in the city. Its history goes back to the ancient Greeks, of which part of a wall is still preserved, from which you can contemplate a spectacular view of the city and the sea. Return to Ljubljana. Overnight in hotel.
Day 8: LJUBLJANA – LJUBLJANA AIRPORT
After breakfast, free time for shopping and transfer to Ljubljana airport. Return of rent a car. End of service.
